City Apologizes for Dangerous New Road

On April 5, 2022, NBC7 San Diego reported on new street striping in the San Diego neighborhood of Mira Mesa. The City attempted to create an “advisory bike lane” that has only made it more dangerous for cyclists and more confusing for driver. The City has issued an apology and a vow to fix the chaos that has ensued. Frequent drivers on the road state, “It’s an accident waiting to happen.” Until the city is able to fix the road, watch out for the four block stretch of Gold Coast Drive in Mira Mesa!
