(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kiro7.com\/news\/trending\/walgreens-sued-over-pregnancy-disability-discrimination-allegations\/SWGO6NKXMBH3LIMYK27P22SID4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Kiro 7 News<\/i><\/a>). The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) released a statement stating that the woman employee asked for numerous accommodations and eventually resigned from Walgreens following advice from her doctor to leave the job.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>According to the EEOC statement and complaint, the woman who also suffers from diabetes and hypoglycemia, had a miscarriage on that very same day. The EEOC filed a lawsuit after attempting to reach a settlement pre-trial.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>In its claim, the EEOC accuses Walgreens of violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Title VII protects employees from employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin.
